SCA Varsity Volleyball Team Win 3rd at State Volleyball Tournament

The Summit Christian Academy (SCA) Eagles recently competed in the State Volleyball Tournament at Cape Girardeau and came home with the Class 2 third place Trophy after defeating Fair Grove. This is the first time that SCA has had a volleyball team compete in the final four at State.

“It was exciting to have the opportunity to compete against the top four teams in our Class at the State Tournament,” shared SCA Volleyball Coach Mikki Shearer.  “We played hard for the win.  We really wanted to defeat Fair Grove and bring home the third place trophy.”

The SCA Eagles came out in the first set against Fair Grove with a 17 to 25 loss and then won the final two sets with scores of 25 to 22 and 25 to 21 to win the match for third place.
