(Lee’s Summit) –Excitement was in the air recently at Summit Christian Academy (SCA) as students shared a special morning with their Grandparents- presenting them to their teachers, friends, and school. A record number of nearly 700 Grandparents came back to school to attend SCA’s Annual Grandparents’ Day.

This grand day was a memorable one for all involved, with the day beginning with a music program put on by all elementary & secondary vocal and orchestra students. Head of School Linda Harrelson later shared about the blessings bestowed on the school over the years and plans for the future. Finally, Grandparents had the opportunity to go back to class and visit their grandchildren’s classrooms and engage in special projects.

“Grandparents Day is one of SCA’s most special traditions,” commented Head of School Linda Harrelson. “It is heartwarming for them to watch their grandchildren singing praises to our God at school. There is always so much eagerness from our students for their grandparents or special friends to watch them perform and meet their teachers. I don’t know who enjoys it more- the Grandparents or students!”
