SCA Sophomore Courtney Price-Dukes ranked 3rd at National Districts and will compete in the NSDA National Tournament.

(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that Senior Logan Kenepaske and Sophomore Courtney Price-Dukes have qualified to attend the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament. Logan ranked 2nd at National Districts and Courtney ranked 3rd. NSDA is the largest academic meet in the world and the tournament will be held be in June.

For the first time in SCA History, the team has qualified for two events. They also competed in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) State Districts recently where both Logan and Courtney qualified for state as Logan placed 1st and Courtney placed 4th. They will compete in MSHSAA Speech and Debate Championship at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO in April.

“SCA is excited to have seen the debate program go so far this year,” said Secondary Speech and Debate Teacher Joshua Baker. “The team is really proving themselves in the debate arena. God is doing great things.”
