SCA Kindergarten Class Writes Book that is a National Finalist

Kindergarten Class' Book is Finalist in National Competition

SCA Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Katelyn Wilfong, with her young authors and their book, “We Love Fall”

Mrs. Wilfong’s Summit Christian Academy (SCA) Kindergarten class recently illustrated and wrote a book that was selected from thousands of applicants as a finalist in the Nationwide Learning National Book Challenge, put on by Student treasures Publishing.

Mrs. Katelyn Wilfong led her class in creating their book, We Love Fall, which exemplifies the judge’s criteria for topic, noteworthy storyline, front cover appeal, interesting illustrations, and following correct publishing guidelines.

“My class creates a book together at the beginning of each school year, but this is the first time our book has been selected!” said Wilfong.

Upon parent approval, a reprint of their manuscript will be submitted to be further judged and declare a winner.  If the book, We Love Fall is pronounced the winner, Student treasures Publishing will provide a free copy of the book to SCA’s principal, Mrs. Wilfong, and each student in the class. The classroom will receive a $100 higher education cash scholarship, and their book may be featured in Student treasures’ product catalogs, website, and as samples to promote their publishing program.
