SCA to Commemorate 25th Anniversary with SCA: The Musical

Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is excited and grateful to be celebrating their 25th year in the Kansas City area. As recognition of this achievement, current students are presenting SCA: The Musical, an original musical written by long- time SCA faculty members Theater Arts Teacher Mrs. Emily Stam and History Teacher Mr. Greg Finch.

This fun, upbeat production is cast by SCA’s talented 5th grade students in collaboration with preschool through 6th graders, All-Star and secondary cheerleaders, secondary choirs, band, and dance teams. The audience will be taken through SCA’s first year in 1989- with 32 students attending in the building of Lee’s Summit First Assembly of God- to present day, where the SCA campus has two facilities on 36 acres and over 730 students.

The performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at First Baptist Church of Raytown. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the event is free and open to the public.

“In our earlier years, we were blessed to have our all-school Christmas program at First Baptist Raytown’s beautiful facility,” shared SCA Head of School Linda Harrelson. “We are so thankful to be able to present SCA: The Musical at their facility so our entire student body can once again come together on this stage.”
