(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Over 600 children and adults met at Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recently to travel the globe at the fourth annual SCA International Festival.

The night opened with a parade of flags and costumes from countries including South Korea, China, Peru, Brazil, Uganda, Spain, and more. Participants had the opportunity to be part of the Chinese tea ceremony, and observe live entertainment performances from cultural dancers, musicians, and gymnasts. Finally, throughout the night, attendees traveled the continents at their leisure while experiencing music, art, games, crafts, and cuisine from over 30 countries around the world. The International Festival also gives SCA’s twenty-three International students opportunities to share their home country, culture, and cuisine.

The theme for the 2016 International Festival was “A Heart for the World.”

“SCA is proud to host an event that brings together various cultures that God created so that we can learn from, experience, and celebrate the beauty that is evident in each one,” said SCA International Program Director Kathy Tharp. “This was an enlightening and fun event for families.”
