SCA Classes Bless Soldiers and SCA Alumnus in Afghanistan

SCA 5th grade students packed boxes for troops in Afghanistan for Christmas. The students were blessed to support SCA Alumnus and West Point graduate Steve Santon who is stationed in Afghanistan.

Keeping with the spirit of Christmas and giving to others, Summit Christian Academy (SCA) students collected toiletry items in lieu of classroom gifts for each other to send to a group of soldiers in Afghanistan. The group is very special to SCA because one of Servicemen is SCA Alumnus and West Point graduate Steve Santon. Santon was deployed in the fall of 2016 to Afghanistan. Some students donated personal supplies while others donated money for shipping. The Servicemen are stationed in a remote area, and do not have access to some basic hygiene items so the students blessed them with some necessities. SCA Parent Kristen Hammett headed up the project, with help from other parents and students. 25 boxes were shipped to the Servicemen. We are all so thankful to the troops who sacrifice their lives for all of us.
