(LEE’S SUMMIT, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to celebrate a record number of students participating in the SCA Reader Leader program. 40 students in grades first through sixth grade took time out of their summer to read a book from an approved list and complete a written summary and/or visual tool of their novel. The Reader Leaders were celebrated during a special luncheon recently, where they were given the opportunity to present their reports. This is the seventh year SCA has honored students through the Reader Leader program.

“I am so proud of these students,” shared SCA Elementary Principal and Academic Dean Kimberlee Gill. “Our students have many diverse talents, but no matter what their area of interest is, those who read have an advantage in being able to use their words to communicate their minds to other people. Readers really are leaders!”
