(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy junior Kassi Ginther continues to lead the team to excellence on the soccer field. Only a few weeks into her junior year, Kassi scored her 123rd goal with the SCA Eagles during their April 7 match against Maranatha Academy. This shot earned her the honor of having made the highest number of goals during her SCA career. With a season and a half to go, SCA looks forward to her record breaking number soaring much higher before she graduates next spring.

Kassi was also selected as the MaxPreps Player of the Week for the week of April 4-10. MaxPreps, in coordination with the National Soccer Coaches Assn of America, selects one male and one female in each state who demonstrate exceptional ability on the soccer field. This is Kassi’s second time to receive this honor; she was also selected during the spring of her sophomore year.

Head coach Amber Siemsen reflects back over the years she has worked with Kassi, “Kassi has been a hard worker since day one. She inspires her teammates to practice in a way that glorifies God. She has grown as a captain and a taken on many leadership roles on our team.” Coach Ammo also looks forward to Kassi’s remaining time with the SCA Eagles, “I expect Kassi to continue to get better and to help her team mates to achieve excellence. Her coachable and joyful attitude make her a great player to coach.”
