SCA’s Oppriecht to Play Basketball at Sterling College

Senior Zoe Oppriecht signs letter of intent to play basketball for Sterling College next fall.

Summit Christian Academy senior Zoe Oppriecht signed her letter of intent to play basketball for Sterling College on Wednesday, March 16. Zoe will be a second-time, fifth generation Sterling Warrior when she starts school there in the fall. Sterling head basketball coach K.C. Bassett says, “I am so humbly honored to have had Zoe pick Sterling College. As soon as I met her, I knew I wanted Zoe to be part of our Lady Warrior basketball program. This is an extremely important and exciting day for Zoe as it starts the next stage in her life. I can’t wait to get her on campus in the fall and have her be a Lady Warrior.”

During the 2015/16 basketball season, Zoe set the school record for number of rebounds in a season (214) and most rebounds in a single game (18). In addition, she was honored as All-Conference Honorable Mention her senior year and All-District, 2nd Team her junior year.

Zoe’s athleticism has helped her excel throughout the SCA athletic department. She was honored as All-District and All-Region, 1st Team for soccer her junior year. She also was named to the High School Volleyball Coaches Association All-State Academic Team her junior year
