Summit Christian Academy Elementary Students Drop Everything to READ

Elementary students at Summit Christian Academy (SCA) spent the day before Spring Break reading for D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) day 2016.

Students truly “got into” their literature as they dressed as literary characters and spent the morning reading and studying literature.

Guest speaker & local author Keion Jackson, author of Because Jesus, was part of SCA’s annual D.E.A.R. day. “Our annual Drop Everything And Read day provides the students the opportunity to not only spend time during the school day reading, but also brings the books to life through the literary characters that the students decide to portray,” shared SCA Academic Dean Kimberlee Gill. “From Nancy Drew to Geronimo Stilton, the halls at our school were full of exciting literary and historical characters.”
