SCA Students Receive High Awards at Math Competition

Pictured here are many of the seventeen 3rd – 6th grade students that represented SCA in the ACSI Math Olympics. Ten students went on to win first through fifth place.

(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that seventeen 3rd – 6th grade students qualified to compete at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Math Olympics recently. Ten students received ribbons and medals.

Those receiving first place were 3rd grade student Addison Welch, 4th grade student Michael Ward, and 5th grade student Isaac Truesdale. Receiving second place were 3rd grade student Jett Nickell and 6th grade student Trey Kates. Third place recipients were 3rd grade student Isaac Rieger, 4th grade student Abigail Shanahan, and 5th grade student Elise Welch. Receiving fifth place were 3rd grade student London Stucker and 4th grade student Lucie Epema.

“We are so proud of these students,” said Elementary Vice-Principal Charissa Sanders. “They worked hard and did a great job!”
