(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recently hosted over 600 at the fifth annual International Festival.

Those in attendance travelled through the continents- tasting authentic food, viewing performances, learning about global opportunities, participating in activities/games, and enjoying connecting with people from around the world. Performers included a Chinese dance troop, Taekwondo demonstration, and SCA students singing, dancing, and reciting poetry. The International Festival also gives SCA’s seventeen International students opportunities to share their home country, culture, and cuisine.

The theme for the 2017 International Festival was “A Cup in His Name”. The spotlight ministry for this year was Eleos Coffee, a coffee house that intends to be a catalyst for local community transformation while ensuring that the coffee they roast makes a difference in their country of origin.
