Beyond the Classroom: SCA Students See Engineering Career in Action

Several Summit Christian Academy students, faculty and staff recently received a personal tour and engineering inspiration at Ultrax Aerospace in Lee’s Summit.

Several Summit Christian Academy (SCA) secondary students recently had the opportunity to visit Lee’s Summit’s Ultrax Aerospace Incorporated. ULTRAX Aerospace partners with aviation professionals worldwide to provide instant access to unbiased and actionable intelligence for empowered decision-making at every level of the organization.

SCA Students were inspired to excellence through both the tour and the encouragement of Ultrax employees. Everyone on the visit was especially thrilled to have access to the inner workings of a helicopter! The tour was made possible through the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council’s work in connecting schools with local businesses.

“I can’t wait to have the students visit again,” shared SCA Academic Dean Kimberlee Gill. “Our mission is to inspire students to meet their God-given potential, and our students’ visit with Ultrax did exactly that! We are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity for our students!”
