Our School Spirit Lasts An Eternity

Global Experience Offered at SCA’s International Festival

The Parade of Flags begins the International Festival with a word of prayer at SCA’s
sixth International Festival.

(Lee’s Summit) – Summit Christian Academy recently hosted hundreds from the Lee’s Summit Community and Greater Kansas City area with a night of interactive learning at the sixth annual SCA International Festival.

Those in attendance traveled through the continents of the world- tasting a wide variety of authentic foods, participating in activities and games, and connecting with people from around the globe.

In addition, attendees were given the opportunity to view amazing cultural performances- opening with the annual Parade of Flags, and including traditional “erhu” Chinese instrument playing, Peruvian dancing, poetry readings, and performances from SCA’s Ukelele Club, Choirs, and Symphonic Orchestra.

With families and students coming from diverse backgrounds, the SCA community extends beyond the walls of the school, city, state, and even country.  The International Festival also gave SCA’s fourteen International students opportunities to share their home country, culture, and cuisine.
