Camp Eagle Summit
Camp Eagle Summit is held at the SCA elementary building during the summer months. This camp is designed for students who will enter 1st through 6th grade in the upcoming 2012-2013 school year.
Camp Dates/Hours
Camp begins on Monday, May 21, 2012, and ends August 10, 2012. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Before- and After-Care are available from 7:00-9:00 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. at no extra charge (Camp is closed May 28 and July 4).
Camp Eagle Summit Activities
Camp Eagle Summit's fascinating theme for chapel this summer is bugs! Back by popular demand, campers will have the opportunity to perform in a muscial! Annie Jr. will be performed the week of July 23 under the direction of SCA vocal music teacher Mrs. Angy Bounds. Students performing in the play must be in attendance at camp the weeks of June 11, July 9, 16, and 23. For speaking or singing roles, they also need to attend the weeks of May 28 and June 4.
Campers will enjoy the following weekly activities: Summit Waves, Mid-Continent Library, Chapel Services, Academic Enrichment, and Y.E.S! Kids' Fitness/Golf Lessons. Exciting field trip destinations include Science City/Planetarium, T-Bones Baseball, Kansas City Zoo, Kaleidoscope, Potter’s Haven, Steamboat Arabia, Puppetry Art Institute, Moon Marbles, Legoland®, Chips Chocolate Factory and more! (Field trips subject to change.)

Camp Eagle Summit Fees
Enrollment/Activity Fee - $50 nonrefundable fee per child now through May 4. After May 4, this fee increases to $75. Fee includes two Camp Eagle Summit shirts.
Weekly Fee - $175 per week (due at the beginning of each week)
Late Pickup Fee - $1 per child per minute after 6:00 p.m., due and payable with the following week's payment.
Summit Waves
Passes are $75 for Lee’s Summit residents; $90 for nonresidents. ($10 discount on passes purchased by May 1.) Passes are to be purchased by parents through Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation. Camp Eagle Summit will hold all camper passes. You may pay an additional $5 for a second ID card for your family’s personal use. Single day passes may be purchased for $7/day for Lee’s Summit residents or $10/day for nonresidents (subject to change per Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation).
Mid-Continent Public Library
We will visit the library every week, so each camper will need a library card (available through the public library at no cost). All cards will be held by Camp Eagle Summit. Any fines for campers will be the responsibility of parents. If your child needs a replacement card, the cost is 50¢.
Camp Eagle Summit Application
Application forms and enrollment/activity fees are due at registration.
Families whose students do not attend SCA wishing to enroll in Camp Eagle Summit need to complete the Camp Eagle Summit Application. Once completed, please submit the application and appropriate fees to Summit Christian Academy at 1500 SW Jefferson, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081. The Registrar will contact your Pastor for a reference and schedule your family for an interview with an administrator. Please allow one week to complete this process.
Families with current SCA students wishing to enroll need to complete the Current Family Application.
Camp Eagle Summit Staff
Camp Director Sarah Frick has a B.A. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Elementary Administration. Camp Eagle Summit utilizes SCA faculty and staff to educate and facilitate the summer camp program.
