Elementary Mini Cheer Clinic 2013
Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is offering a mini cheer clinic for girls in the Lee’s Summit community Kindergarten through 6th grade who are interested in learning the fundamentals of cheerleading.
Participants will learn proper cheer technique, the fundamentals of stunting, and a routine that they will perform during a high school basketball game. The mission of this clinic is to provide an enthusiastic introduction to cheerleading and mold these young ladies into becoming energetic cheerleaders all while providing a safe and encouraging environment in which to learn.
The Mini Cheer Clinic will be held at Summit Christian Academy, 1450 SW Jefferson, on January 17, 22, and 24 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The cost of the clinic is $35 per student and each participant will receive a t-shirt. Cheerleaders will showcase their routine at the SCA High School basketball games on Friday, January 25 at 6:30 and 8:00 p.m.
The Clinic Coordinators are Sarah McLelland (High School Cheerleading Coordinator), Nicole Cox (Varsity Cheer Coach) and Angie McKay (Junior High Cheer Coach). The instructors will include the SCA Varsity High School Cheerleaders. All of these ladies have a love for children and are excited to meet your young ladies and encourage them in the sport of cheerleading.
