Our School Spirit Lasts An Eternity

Donor Makes $25,000 Gift to SCA Football Program

(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is excited to announce that a donor has given a $25,000 donation designated to the SCA Football Program.

“We have a young football program so this donation will allow us to purchase items that are critical    to the development and branding of our team,” shared SCA Athletic Director Jake Kates. “It is encouraging to be part of a school and to direct an athletic program, where there is strong support from our donors. Our football program enjoys winning games, however the leadership of the team under Coach Dalton Vann have a heart to build Christian character on and off the field. This is our philosophy in all of our athletic programs.”

With the donation, SCA has purchased additional sleds for practices, sound equipment, headsets for coaches to use during games, as well as items for the Football Field.

“It is exciting to see a donor step forward to support the SCA Football program in this way,” shared Director of Development Sarah Coats. “As a private Christian school, we operate on a budget that is reliant upon individual donations like this! We don’t receive federal or state funding, therefore any additional funds that we receive whether for our Educational Enhancement Fund or designated to our football program, allow us to continue providing excellence in all areas of our school.”
