SCA Eagles finished their impressive football season this past Sunday with their awards’ banquet. Among the many honors received, two awards stand out among the list. For the first time in school history, SCA football had players named to the All-State teams for Class 2. Senior Ross Parke received honor as 1st Team, All-State Wide Receiver by unanimous decision while junior Caden Robinson was also recognized as 3rd Team, All-State Defensive Lineman.

In addition to All-State, Parke also received 1st Team All-Conference for Offense (WR) and Defense (DB) and 1st Team All-District (WR). Robinson was named 1st Team All-Conference for both Offense (OL) and Defense (DL) and 1st Team All-District (DL).

Overall, fifteen players received post-season honors and contributed to the success of the Eagles’ fourth season for their program. Other recipients included junior Sam Huckabee who was honored as 1st Team All-Conference for both Offense (QB) and Defense (DB) along with 1st Team All-District (QB). Junior Zach McConnell earned 1st Team All-Conference for Offense (WR) and Defense (DB) along with 2nd Team All-District (WR). The final six athletes received recognition for 2nd Team, All-Conference. They include senior Dylan Burgess (OL), junior Kyle Eklund (WR), sophomore Trenton Holloway (DL), junior Malek Looney (DB), junior Adam Lucht (OL), and freshman Josh McConnell (RB).

The Eagles placed second in districts as they lost to 4-time state champion Lamar High School on November 6. Lamar went on to their fifth state victory in late November.
