Our School Spirit Lasts An Eternity

Dr. Harold Finch Reaches over 800 at Success Seminar

(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Over 800 people gathered at John Knox Pavilion on September 13 for Dr. Harold Finch’s “Success Seminar.” Frontier Justice President & CEO Mike Brown was also a presenter at the Seminar. Dr. Finch is a renowned speaker and has presented over 750 “Success Seminars” on five continents and in universities and businesses across the United States. Dr. Finch’s goal was to fill the Pavilion with people that were not believers and who were open to hear about the keys to success, including eternal success.

“As I looked out over the audience, I could tell that I had everyone’s attention,” shared Dr. Finch. “That means to me that people were getting something out of my seminar and that always makes a speaker feel good.”

Dr. Finch has always played an intricate part in the success of Summit Christian Academy (SCA), and the school has been blessed to have his continued support. SCA was proud to support Dr. Finch’s seminar by providing nearly 30 faculty and staff volunteers to usher at the event. Many students from SCA were in attendance, including SCA’s football team and Mr. Mickelson’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) class.

Dr. Finch was very impressed by the percentage of attendees (65%) that attended because they were invited by a friend.

“People all around us need the Lord. All we have to do is invite our neighbors and friends and they will come,” shared Dr. Finch. “When you have over 800 people in attendance and ask for their feedback or comments, and none of the responses are negative, that is a God thing. In all of my years of speaking at events, never once have I received negative feedback or negative comments.”

After the seminar, Dr. Finch had the opportunity to follow up with a few attendees that wanted to hear more about the “Key to Eternal Success.”

“There were 73 attendees who checked the box during the seminar which gave the indication that a spiritual encounter with God had taken place,” shared Dr. Finch. He takes pride in reaching the lost and provides a pathway for them to accept Jesus Christ as their savior.
