(LEE’S SUMMIT, MO) – Many years following Summit Christian Academy’s (SCA) first high school graduating class in 2004, the school is pleased to see multiple graduates selecting their alma-mater for their children’s education.

Five current SCA students are children of SCA high school graduates. Son of graduate Merry McClain-Huskey, daughter of graduate Becky Coster, two children of graduate Amber Siemsen, and son of graduate Mike Collier are all now walking the same halls as their parents.

“As we start our second year at SCA, I could not be more pleased with the experience we’ve had. The education JJ is receiving is incomparable, and the peace I have knowing the environment my son is in every day is invaluable,” shared SCA Graduate and mom Merry McClain-Huskey. “It is especially neat witnessing life come back full circle- having him in the school that I graduated from is a dream come true. This year is particularly momentous as my best friend Becky whom I met 17 years ago in the 8th grade now also has a child attending the school. JJ and Kylee have been friends since they were toddlers, so it is special to see them at the same school where their moms became friends many years ago.”

“We are thrilled to have seven second generation Eagles in our student body,” shared SCA Head of School Linda Harrelson. “My son Curtis graduated from eighth grade at SCA and has had his children here since they were in preschool. It is exciting to have so many children whose parents are SCA Alumni!”
