SCA Students’ Artwork Featured in University of Central Missouri High School Competitive Art Exhibition

(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that three art pieces submitted have been selected to be included in the University of Central Missouri (UCM) High School Competitive Art Exhibition. Entries were required to receive an average rating of 3.5 on a 1-5 scale to be selected, and only 200 out of 900 entries from schools in the region are chosen.

Pieces selected from SCA include, Junior Michaela Loux’s “Drawing Color Pencil Owl on Acrylic”, Freshman Ruby Harris’ “Design Layered Paper Cut”, and Junior Collin Mahurin’s “Photography Self Portrait”.

The art will be on display in UCM’s Art Center hallways March 6 – 17. The Exhibition Contest will be held on March 17.

“It is a big honor for these students as their art stood out from hundreds that were submitted,” said SCA Secondary Art Instructor Jana Jurkovich.
