Our School Spirit Lasts An Eternity

Catholic College Fair held at Summit Christian Academy

SCA Senior, Christopher Tsamas, completes an inquiry form at the information table of Seton Hall University. When asked about his experience from the college fair, Christopher shared, “I think it was good, I met with a few schools that I thought might be a good fit for me, and I learned more about the NAIA scholarship process for Basketball.”

Summit Christian Academy (SCA) recently hosted the 2019 Catholic College Fair to SCA students in grades 9-12.

SCA opened their doors to 30 colleges and universites including Creighton, Rockhurst, Marquette, Loyola, Avila, University of Portland, Seton Hall, and the College of Saint Mary, just to name a few. The schools met with SCA students and provided detailed information on the college selection and admittance process.

“I love the opportunity to expose the kids to these reps,” shared SCA College and Career Advisor Shaun Pfannenstiel who leads the day each year. “It is an exciting process when students start to think outside the box and consider what God may have in store for their futures, possibly outside of the Midwest. They get a chance to determine if a school visit is right for them. The college fair process is a great learning tool for our kids to envision opportunity that spans from coast to coast; a college option that they may not have otherwise considered.”
