SCA Art Student Honored Two Years in a Row

SCA Sophomore Ashlyn Steller’s painting was selected by State Senator Mike Cierpiot as the 2019 Senate District Eight Art Exhibit Winner and will be displayed at the Missouri State Capitol.

Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, sophomore Ashlyn Steller was selected as the 2019 Senate District Eight Art Exhibit Winner.

Each of Missouri’s thirty-four State Senators view work submitted from their district and select one image to represent them. The chosen images are printed and displayed at the Missouri State Capitol to advocate legislator support for the arts.

Ashlyn’s work of art will be on display from February 2 through the end of the 2019 year. The exhibit will be located on the grounds of the Capitol in the hallway that leads from Senate parking to the Capitol ground floor entrance. Her original work is currently on display at the SCA Secondary Building.
