SCA Cheer Teams Send Christmas Shoeboxes Across the World

SCA Elementary and Varsity cheerleaders pray over the nearly 40 shoeboxes that will be sent across the globe via Operation Christmas Child.

The Summit Christian Academy (SCA) Cheer teams are starting their spirit of giving early this year! The Varsity cheer squad joined with Elementary All-Star cheerleaders (grades 2 – 6) to pack nearly forty shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, which is a ministry project of international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. Operation Christmas Child provides local partners around the world in countries affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, or disease. The local organization receives shoeboxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to disperse to children in their communities on Christmas.

Each SCA All-Star Cheerleader packed their own shoebox and the teams took time to pray over each box’s recipient and their family.  SCA is grateful for the opportunity to share Jesus’ love across the globe through these partnerships.
