SCA Students Win Veterans of Foreign War Essay Competitions

SCA 10th grade student Emma Smith won 1st place in the VFW Voice of Democracy essay competition.

SCA 7th grade student Brynn Smith won 3rd place in the VFW Patriot’s Pen essay competition.

Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to announce that 7th grade student Brynn Smith and 10th grade student Emma Smith were both winners of essay competitions from Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5789. Brynn won 3rd place in the VFW Patriot’s Pen essay competition and Emma won 1st place in the Voice of Democracy essay competition. They were commended for their superior writing ability and deep sense of patriotism. 

As a first place winner, Emma’s entry will be forwarded to the VFW District 5 Commander for consideration for District, State, and National level recognition.

Brynn and Emma were recently honored at the Patriotic Recognition Ceremony.
