SCA Announces Christian Character Recipients and Student of the Year



(Lee’s Summit, MO) – Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is pleased to recognize students who consistently exhibit exceptional Christian character through the Christian Character Award program. The purpose of this award is to encourage students to pursue their potential toward attaining the highest level of personal and academic development as well as Christian character.
The achievement of Christian Character at SCA is one of the most prestigious recognitions within the school.
Elementary Christian Character recipients for the fourth quarter are first grade student Eloise Parker, daughter of Ben and Leann Parker, and sixth grade student Rylie Friess, daughter of Chad and Elizabeth Friess.
Junior high Christian Character recipients for the second semester are seventh grade student Aidan Cummings, son of Jason and Michele Cummings and eighth grade student Emma Coats, daughter of Andy and Sarah Coats.
Senior high Christian Character recipients for the second semester are senior Grace Filer, daughter of Chris and Kelly Filer, senior Camile Anderson, daughter of David and Amy Anderson, and senior Tyler Simpson, son of Blake and Carla Simpson.
SCA announced senior Ryan Wagy, son of Roger and Robin Wagy, as their 2020-21 Student of the Year. Ryan graduated Cum Laude, Outstanding Choir Student, Debate Academic All- American, and Football Academic All-State.
