The SCA Class of 2023 with SCA Head of School Mr. Chris Hahn gathered together before classes started on August 17 to start the day in prayer and devotion before greeting and welcoming students to the campus.

(Lee’s Summit) – The 2022-23 school year at Summit Christian Academy (SCA) began on August 17. SCA is celebrating the 33rd year serving Lee’s Summit and Kansas City metro with record enrollment of nearly 1200 preschool-12th grade students. The school has expanded to five sections of Kindergarten and four sections of many other elementary and secondary classes, and will have a graduating class of 71 this year.

This is a monumental school year at SCA, as the Fieldhouse & Activity Center is under construction and is the third building being added to the campus. The building is set for completion in Spring of 2023. The Activity Center will have bleacher space to accommodate 1200 and will provide students with increased athletic and activity enrichment opportunities.

“It was a great start to a great day, to what I believe will be a great year,” shared SCA Head of School Chris Hahn. “I was blessed to begin my day with the Class of 2023 in prayer for the year.  I am excited, grateful, and humbled for this group of Seniors and to have them as our campus leaders. I am incredibly humbled and excited to serve the children and families God has brought to SCA with our faculty and staff. WE ARE SCA, We are the FUTURE!”
