Mrs. Finnegan joined the SCA faculty in 2018. She has taught at her Alma Mater, EIU, various community colleges, homeschool coops, and private secondary schools. In 2017, she joined the pool of SCA substitute teachers and satisfied both her love for kids and teaching.

Mrs. Finnegan has always been involved at SCA as a parent volunteer. Her favorite is being a member of the SCA Prayer Team since her children started school at SCA. She is passionate about prayer and believes it to be the most powerful weapon we have as believers.

“I am thankful to our Lord God for directing me to teach full-time at SCA and continue the vision of the school to train not just the mind, but the heart, soul, and spirit of students. I am in awe of God’s sovereignty in leading me to teach this year when the school’s theme is REVIVAL based on Romans 12:2. This happens to be the theme and guiding verse for my dissertation paper on neuroplasticity; Rewiring the Brain=Renewing the Mind. I believe revival is indeed coming soon to SCA. I am honored and excited for my whole family to be a part of it!”

She and her husband Don have four daughters who at one point were all enrolled at SCA, with two girls currently enrolled at the secondary level.
